Gyanesh is married to Anshu Paliwal, and they have two children: a daughter, Akanksha Paliwal, and a son, Yashovardhan Paliwal.

A lifelong vegetarian, Gyanesh has been a committed vegan for the past nine years. He actively promotes a healthy and compassionate lifestyle by giving presentations at schools and libraries, inspiring students and the community to embrace veganism.
